With Lee Piercy away with work and the other athletes pre booked for the day it was left to Dave Roper to help keep the recent event win average up for TBAS.

A storming 5km run allowed Dave to keep away on the bike and power home on the 3km final run to take the win, creeping in just under the hour mark.

Bananaman Triathlon - Dorney Lake - Sun 12th July 09

Nearly all team members made the trip to Dorney for the Team Time Trial and Relay events.

Team Timetrial - 800m Lake Swim / 30km Bike / 7.5km Run

Team 1 - Lee Piercy / Emma Dews - Total time - 1hr:28.39

Team 2 - Justin Woodward / Jason Pinkney / Ben Rowlands - Total Time - 1hr:55.00

Team 1 were missing a member due to a minor incident keeping David Roper out of the race, despite this they still managed to come home 2nd - although due to only two members the result does not count.

Team 2 put in a good performance despite the lack of training to finish under 2hrs, a 20minute improvement over last year, finishing a respectable 16th out of 42 teams.

Relay - 800m Lake Swim / 30km Bike / 7.5km Run

Swim - Gavin Lancaster (12min 30sec)  / Bike- Paul Carson (42min 27sec)  / Run - Alex Fisher (25min 45sec) - Total Time - 1hr:22.04

In the relay despite pressure form the shop staff leading up to the event the boys came through and took the win by 5minutes from nearest relay team.
